I created Big Sky Psychotherapy as a space to focus on exploring and expanding one's perspective and finding a sense of freedom and possibility in the midst of life's challenges. The term Big Sky is a nod to my home state of Montana. "Big Sky" can evoke a sense of awe and wonder at the immensity of the natural world, as well as a feeling of freedom and possibility. The open skies of Big Sky Country can be both exhilarating and overwhelming, offering both a sense of boundlessness and a reminder of our own smallness in the grand scheme of life.
As a clinical health psychologist and therapist, I focus on how psychological, social, and behavioral factors impact physical health and well-being. I take a holistic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of the mind and body. I have over 20 years of experience working with a diversity of people in various settings. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy and wellness coaching and my office is located in Durham, North Carolina.
The focus of our work together would be to achieve greater wellness and fulfillment in your life by identifying and addressing any obstacles that may be preventing you from living a meaningful and fulfilling life. This may involve exploring your values and goals, working to align your actions with these values and goals, and developing strategies for managing stress, improving relationships, and cultivating greater self-compassion and self-care.
Ultimately, we would move you toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life based on your own values and priorities. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship issues, or other challenges, I am here to support you on your journey to restore well-being, recenter around values, and reconnect with joy and purpose.
